Homeowners
Thank you for your interest in Vermont Verde Antique® the world’s finest serpentine stone.
Our Vermont quarried serpentine stone is often referred to as “marble.” While it has the warmth and look
of marble, it is actually harder and less porous than many types of granite, making it an excellent choice for your home.

Durable:
Won’t Stain or Etch from Acid
Unlike marble, Vermont Verde Antique® naturally stands up to culinary acid exposure and resists staining. In fact, over 100 years of Vermont Verde Antique interior and exterior installations worldwide still retain their original finishes and beauty.
Versatile:
Honed, Polished or Brushed Finishes
Three gorgeous finishes for you to choose from: satin matte honed, stunning high gloss polish, or our unique natural brushed finish. Vermont Verde Antique cuts and finishes beautifully, to your or your designer’s specifications. ANY “polished” slab in our extensive inventory can also be finished as honed or brushed.
Unique:
Distinctive Markings
Vermont Verde Antique’s signature green and metallic flecked surface, complimented by white and light green veining, makes it a widely sought element in distinctive residential projects. Every block we quarry has unique features to complement your project.
Local:
In New England for Over 100 Years
Vermont Verde Antique has been quarried for over 100 years in the Green Mountains of Rochester in central Vermont. Our warehouse in nearby Hancock and relationships with local fabricators ensure the time honored quality of local Vermont craftsmanship for your special project.

Simple Maintenance
Vermont Verde Antique clean up is simple with a mild dish detergent and warm water; rinse and wipe dry to prevent streaking. Stone soap, a cleaner specifically designed for stone surfaces, can also be used for daily cleaning. Bleaches, ammonia or abrasive cleaners should be avoided as over time they can dull the polish.
