Vermont Verde Antique’s Rochester quarry has been under new ownership since late 2007. The green serpentine stone quarry was purchased by Tom Fabbioli and his family to help expand their existing fabrication business in the Syracuse, NY area, and to compliment the 40,000 square foot processing facility the family owns in Barre, VT.

VVA, LLC employs full-time staff to quarry, fabricate, and market the quarry products. The Fabbioli family has improved and expanded the distribution and availability of serpentine stone slabs, tile and blocks throughout both the domestic and international markets. Making the stone reliably available for both small residential and major commercial architectural projects.

The Fabbioli family's commitment to Vermont Verde Antique has brought about major changes to the quarry site. In the aftermath of Tropical Storm Irene, expansion of infrastructure on the quarry grounds allowed for immediate use of crushed and block stone to rebuilt destroyed roadways and riverbanks throughout the state.

Continued expansion of the quarry walls is resulting in new unique stone products being brought to market, and new life for this historical Vermont quarry.

Owning both the quarry and processing plant is a big advantage for Vermont Verde customers: lower transportation costs, eliminate stone waste, decreased lead times, and an overall reduction in job costs.
