We got Goosebumps!

Thank you Susan from Rochester for sending along this story of your visit to the quarry this past winter:

When some relatives announced that they wanted to visit us in March, we were dumbfounded.  What on earth to do with company in mud season???  So we took them to the verde antique quarry, which was not in operation, and were astonished at the drama. Huge hunks of ice, the size of large refrigerators, were dropping off the surface of the quarry and falling hundreds of feet into the water below.  I’ve been to Alaska and seen icebergs breaking up, and this was every bit as spectacular. We all had goose bumps.  Susan, Rochester

Hello Quarry Fans!

We're always amazed and honored by the variety of people who stop by the quarry to observe and photograph operations from our comfortable outside observation/picnic area.

If you have any quarry images or stories you would like to share, send them along to peter@vtverde.com so they can be featured on our blog. Thank you for your interest.

The quarry has undergone a lot changes since the Fabbioli family purchased it in 2006, and we'll use this blog to keep you up to date on our new equipment, Tropical Storm Irene initiatives, and some exciting new products emerging from the quarry!

We always appreciate your comments.
